The S.V.C.S. Maintenance Department has already taken steps to begin compliance with Governor Pataki's 2005 Executive Order (EO) 134 which requires that all "state agencies shall procure and use cleaning products having properties that minimize potential impacts to human health and the environment consistent with maintenance of the effectiveness of these products for the protection of public health and safety". Similarly, the purpose of the legislation is "to reduce as much as possible exposures of children and school district staff to potentially harmful chemicals and substances used in the cleaning and maintenance of schools". The legislation will be fully enacted in September of 2006.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the cleaning products being used in the building, please feel free to call J.T. Mann at 495-4495. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of each cleaning product currently used in the building is available in the Head Custodian's Office for public view.
Fire Inspection Reports -Notice by is hereby given that the annual inspection for 2006 of all Stockbridge Valley Central School District buildings for fire hazards, which might endanger the lives of students, teachers and employees therein, has been completed. The report is available at the Head Custodian's Office, 6011 Williams Road, Munnsville, NY for inspection by all interested persons.
Pesticide Reporting
There were no pesticide applications since the beginning of the school year that were required to be identified in a periodic notification report this month,if applicable.
