| Cougar Student Investigators (CSI) is a study group for students who are creative thinkers and enjoy exploring topics beyond the regular curriculum. Students are recommended to take part in CSI based upon academic standing, inquisitive nature, creative thinking, and problem solving aptitudes. The topics that we explore will be, in large part, determined by the students. They may be extensions of learning already going on in the classroom or may be inquiries and puzzles that go beyond the traditional curriculum. At this time, nine children in the fourth grade have been invited to participate in CSI for their grade level. Participation is voluntary and the make-up of the group may change throughout the year depending on student interest and academic performance. The CSI study group will meet once per week. Members of the fourth grade CSI are: Megan, Maryann, Josh, Raymond, Dylan, Ashleigh, Catherine, Elizabeth, and Sylvia. Our group advisor is Mrs. Fisher, our school technology coordinator. Our philosophy is "We can go anywhere we want to go and learn anything we want to learn." Keep coming back to find out about our Fourth Grade Journeys into the Unknown. Because other students want to do the CSI Activities, we will include all our projects on these webpages. Have fun! |
